JDPC Onitsha observed UN World Humanitarian Day on 19th August, 2020 at two riverine communities – Atani and Umueze-Anam with the theme: Providing Life Saving Support during the Pandemic (for people living with disabilities and vulnerable persons). The following items were given out to the targeted persons; 10 bags of rice, 10 cartons of tomatoes, 10 litres of groundnut oil, 20kg semolina, 4 gallons of cooking oil and 4bags of fairly used clothes. 6 cripples and 4 blind persons – 3 adolescent girls, a male adolescent, an orphan, 3 women and two men.
