PROMIC 11 Micro-credit project is a poverty alleviation program aims at improving the livelihood of the poor in rural communities especially women through support of the farming and petty businesses. The Scheme has impacted over 1, 300, 000 beneficiaries in the following communities - Nteje, Umueri, Nando, Aguleri, Umumbo, Umuezeanam, Obosi, Umueje, Awada, Nkwelle 3-3, Awka-etiti, Umudioka, Ogidi, Ega-oja, Omor, Umuoji, Odekpe, and Nkwelle Ezunanka. Open Hand Foundation (Swiss Hand), Switzerland has supported this programme since 2012.
