"Promotion of Microenterprises Programmme (PROMIC AGRIC)" The Programme is created to reduce poverty by enabling hundreds of poor women farmers to improve their agricultural outputs through the provision of credit,investment consulting and entrepreneurial training to generate self- confidence,income and to promote a culture of self-help in order to master poverty. The Programme is conceived as a pilot programme exclusively for JDPC Onitsha in connection with its general project for economic empowerment of rural women farmers. This Scheme supports rural farmers in sustainable agriculture and agribusiness. It is also one of the three micro credit programmes from Open Hand Foundation. More than 1,000 people have benefited from the programme. Funding partner: SWISSHAND, Switzerland
