INTERNATIONAL WOMEN`S DAY (IWD).

JDPC in partnership with Development Centre for Orientation, Discovery and Empowerment (DeCODE), CASO-Wisdom Consult, Stella Maris Adolescent Girls Foundation (SAGF), Civil Initiative for Advancing Development (CIAD), Ranky Event Palace, and Nneoma di Ebube Widows Foundation commemorated International Women’s Day (IWD) on 8th of March 2020. It focused on bringing together the next generation of women and girl leaders, as well as gender equality activists, so as to focus on issues facing women and girls across generations. Theme for 2020: I am Generation Equality; Realizing Women’s Right. 114 participants, 78 females and 36 males attended the event.The highlights of the programme are:
 Welcome address by Rev. Fr. Dr. Edwin Udoye, Director, JDPC Onitsha. The focus was on SDGs 5 & 10 (Gender equality &Reduced inequality respectively).
 Key note address by MrsUzomaUzor, Senior programme coordinator, Christian Aid, Nigeria
 Panel discussions on the process being made towards achieving SDGs 5 and 10
 Award presentation to notable women who have made measurable impacts and redefined leadership.
