Preliminary Report of Anambra Gubernatorial Election by JDPC Archdiocese of Onitsha.

JDPC Onitsha as one of the accredited election observers dispatched about 350 observers within three Anambra senatorial zones. The election witnessed late arrival of INEC officials in almost all the pooling units. There was voters’ apathy and low turnout. Many who turned out could not vote because of the malfunction of the BVAS and the delay in the verification of voters. The security agents did a marvelous work in maintaining peace and order. Across all parties money sharing to sway the voters was rampant. Cases of snatching the election were from Abatete Idemili North LGA. The results tickling in with APGA on the lead. Generally, the election was peaceful.
