PROMIC 1 is a Micro-credit scheme sponsored by Foundation Open Hand Swissland,Switzerland which started in December 2010. It aims at improving the livelihood of rural women by supporting their petty businesses and farming as a means of empowerment and livelihood support. The project has impacted over 1,000 women especially low income earners in these communities - Mmiata Anam,Ogbakuba,Atani,Umunankwo,Ossamala,Umuze- Anam, Aguleri,and Oguikpele.
