On 16, May 2020, JDPC Onitsha led a peaceful demonstration in the company of parishioners of St. Mary parish, Inland Town Onitsha, Obeleagu Street community members, the Anglican Church and media to alert the State Government, Federal Government and World Bank of imminent threat of gully erosion menace on human life and properties. The movement organizing had the following immediate impactful outcomes.

1. On 19^th May 2020, Anambra State Government mobilized to the site to start palliative construction to mitigate against erosion menace.
2. On 28 May 2020, The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Gov. Willie Obiano visited the site and mandated that the work should be done day and night because of its urgency.
3. The wave of the peaceful demonstration also attracted His royal Majesty, Igwe Alfred Achebe, Agbogidi, the Obi of Onitsha to visit the site.
