JDPC Onitsha Executive Director Attends Church and Society AGM in Abuja

Rev. Fr. Edwin Udoye Participates in Church and Society AGM on Mainstreaming Catholic Social Teachings for Development

The Justice Development and Peace Caritas (JDPC) Onitsha Archdiocese was actively represented at the annual general meeting (AGM) of the Church and Society Department, held recently at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria in Durumi, Abuja.
The Executive Director of JDPC Onitsha, Rev. Fr. Edwin Udoye Anaegboka, joined other key leaders from across the country for the high profile gathering.
The central theme of this year’s AGM was “Harbingers of Hope: Mainstreaming Catholic Social Teachings of Development in Nigeria.”
The meeting served as an important platform for all JDPC and related Church and Society units to collectively review their development initiatives and strategize on how to more effectively integrate the core principles of Catholic Social Teaching (CST) into their work. Discussions focused on translating the Church’s mandate for integral human development into practical, grassroots actions that address poverty, injustice, and inequality in Nigeria.
Fr. Udoye’s participation reaffirms JDPC Onitsha’s commitment to collaborating with the national body and other dioceses to be a powerful force for social justice and peace in line with the Church’s mission.
JDPC Onitsha remains dedicated to working as a ‘Harbinger of Hope,’ ensuring that the dignity of the human person and the principle of the common good guide all our interventions in the Archdiocese and beyond.
